I am happy with autofill when typing a URL or for addresses or searches, but now my browser is predicting how I'm going to finish my sentences when I type online, for example, during this post I'm now making or on Facebook, etc. I want to keep the old type of autofill-prediction, but am annoyed by the browser trying to finish my sentences. How can I turn off this new feature but leave the old autofill-prediction features? I'm using Edge.

Thanks.

my browser is predicting how I'm going to finish my sentences when I type online,

This is a language setting. Click (Settings and more) > Settings > Languages. Under Use writing assistance, select Basic to avoid seeing text predictions and grammar suggestions.

There's also a Windows setting you may want to check: open Windows settings ⚙ > Devices > Typing and make your choices under Typing.

Thanks. I had to shut auto completion off in both Windows and Edge. I think it's gone now, but time will tell.
