Why did my search bar suddenly change to Microsoft Edge? I didn't do anything and now I can't get rid of it. I don't use Edge.

Hello Brook5017,
Thank you for updating me with that information. That is a new feature in Windows Search called Search highlights.
Right click on your taskbar
Select Search then clear "Show search highlights".
Kindly let me know if this helps or if you have any further concerns.
Kind regards,
