Microsoft Bug/issue

In the last few weeks (approximately 3 weeks ago) I noticed a very strange bug with the Microsoft Profile Picture on certain Microsoft Apps and Apple Apps solely on my iPhone. To provide further context, I first noticed this problem on Microsoft Edge. As I’m signed in with my account on the mobile app, it has the profile picture in the corner. Then suddenly it turned green only with my initials PB. This is super strange because I do indeed have a profile picture. So I went to the Microsoft account page on Edge and my avatar only shows a blue/ white person (it’s blank and my actual picture doesn’t show). Even when I tried to update my picture it goes back to the blank one. And to be clear I have tried different picture sizes, file types, and pictures but to no avail. The problem also happens when I go to my Microsoft Account on Safari, Microsoft ToDo, Microsoft Authenticator and Bing. Though what I find very strange is when I login to my computer everything is fine and my picture appears. The same when I use the iPhone apps of Office, Word, OneDrive, Word, Excel and PowerPoint on the same phone. Back to the Microsoft Edge problem, I tried a ton of troubleshooting steps such as trying to re add the picture on my phone, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, wiping my whole iPhone, restarting my iPhone, reinstalling the iOS software, disabling and re-enabling sync, clearing my cookies and cache and signing in and out but again to no avail (also my iPhone software and all the apps involved are up to date). I also contacted Microsoft Support several times but they seemed to be very confused and were very unhelpful. One agent supposedly filed a bug report and was supposed to get back to me but when contacting another agent later they said the agent didn’t and simply closed the case. Then another agent suggested contacting Apple (which I found baffling , as Apple isn’t Microsoft (I also did contact them and they said only Microsoft can fix anything regarding their services)). At this rate I have no clue who to contact except for posting in this community and hoping someone from Microsoft’s Dev team gets this fixed. Again, I have tried everything, contacted everyone I could, and done every possible troubleshooting step but to no avail. I also have screenshots in this message showing some apps that have it reflected and the apps/sites that don’t have it reflected. Please point this in the right direction and update me when a potential fix happens as this has been going on for a month with no resolution. Thanks!

Hello, I’m Virginia an independent advisor with 20 years of expertise in fixing my own & friends’ PC problems.

It’s happening to many users on various forums & nothing works. This is a bug which only Microsoft can fix so I recommend sending them feedback via Windows key + F key.

Microsoft don’t read these forums so won’t reply.

In my case I have the photo on my iDevice apps but on my PC the store app & several Office apps don’t show a photo.
