Remove or block microsoft edge

Is there a way to completely uninstall Microsoft Edge or at least block the application from doing anything. This app keeps on changing all my file types (PDF to in browser link) and opens everything in Microsoft edge even when I don't want it too. I was fine without it but I updated to the most recent update and edge had installed itself and changed everything.

    Hello , sorry about your problems. My name is Marco and I am independent advisor. So, I will do my best to help you.

    You just have to go and remove Edge from 'Default Applications' and everything will be good.

    To change the default browser, here is what to do.

    -Click on Windows start button and click on " Settings " icon.

    -Choose Apps.

    -Go to Default apps on the left pane.

    -Select the browser listed under Web browser.

    -In the Choose an app list, choose the desired default browser.

    To change the opening of PDF files for example, in the same window (Default Apps), click on 'Choose default apps by file type'

    -Scroll until time to see PDF in the left column

    -So, click on it and choose with which application you want to open it and then close these windows.

    I have to do these steps everyday. Edge has created more issues than it is worth.
