Cannot remove old gmail from MS Edge

Question

I was trying to remove an old work email from my browser but Edge won't let me do this. As you can see in the image below, the above email which I no longer have access. I want to use the second email as my primary email but there is no option that can remove the first email. I have tried a hundreds of things and this is a pain in the **** in deed.

Do you have any account that is currently sign in when you tried to delete old gmail account?

To remove the gmail account you want, you have to sign out first all the the account signed-in on your chrome. once accounts are signed out you can then remove the account that you want to remove. click on your gmail account icon then click sign out all accounts. click on the drop down arrow beside the gmail email address then click REMOVE. then the gmail account will be removed.

1. Are you trying to remove old gmail account using Microsoft Edge browser?
2. Did you try removing it from another browser such as Google Chrome or Internet Explorer but still cannot remove it?

Yes. I am using Edge and I am trying to remove a Gmail account from my browser.

Yes. Because I can do it easily in chrome. But MS Edge does not support. 

I am very suspicious with this. 

I doubt Google doing this intentionally to drive Edge users to force use chrome which is an unethical dirty game.
