microsoft edge 

when i click on the e icon the error code 0xc0000020 comes up

how do I fix this?

I am not a techie person and this is a work laptop, I do not have an IT department that I can link in with to fix so if you can help with very clear step by step guide that wont break this laptop I'd very much appreciate it as none of my pdfs will open now

    Hi Nat,

    Thanks for reaching out! I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you.

    First try to run SFC and DISM Scan it will locate and repair corrupted files that might harm you device

    To run DISM

    • Open Start, type: CMD
    • Right click CMD
    • Click Run as administrator

    Type in at the prompt OR Copy and Paste these one at a time : (Hit enter after each)

    • Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
    • Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
    • Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

    To run SFC

    • Open Start, type: CMD
    • Right click CMD
    • Click Run as administrator
    • At the Command Prompt, type: sfc/scannow
