WHY DOES MY DEFAULT LOCATION CONSTANTLY CHANGE TO DALLAS, TEXAS WHEN I'M IN SEATTLE, WASHINGTON????
This has been going on for 8-10 YEARS!!!
Doesn't matter if I'm signed in or out of:
MSN, Bing, Microsoft, Outlook, Hotmail, Gmail, Edge, Start, Yahoo, Chrome, Google, Bing Maps, Google Maps, Windows 7, 8, 8.1 & 10, Internet Explorer, Home Depot, Walmart, YouTube & any/all News & Weather pages/apps.
In ALL the above mentioned apps & programs, my default location ALWAYS reverts to Dallas, Texas.
I'm 2000+ miles away from Dallas, in Washington State!!!
Doesn't matter if my location is on or off in phone, permissions, apps & browser(s) settings.
I've contacted every "What's my IP Location" company WORLDWIDE - they all tell me it's Microsoft/MSN/Bing that has my location incorrect.
I change every location setting possible to Washington State, only to have it immediately revert back to Dallas, Texas.
Over the past decade, this problem has happened on 2 different PC's & 1 laptop computer using 3 different internet providers, on 1 iPhone, 4-5 different Android phones using 3 different carriers, using hotspot & 1 tablet. Wifi or not - Doesn't matter.
I've cleared cookies & caches, reset phones, erased all info on my Microsoft related profiles (also Google & everything Android related).
I've clicked every "change/update location" button I can find....
It. Doesn't. Matter!
ALL sites IMMEDIATELY change my location back to Dallas, Texas.
I'm sick of seeing news, ads & weather for a place over 2000+ miles away from me!
This affects EVERY website I visit, even when I'm signed OUT of everything Microsoft related!!
It overrides ALL my settings (Google, Yahoo, Chrome, YouTube, All Weather & News pages, Retail Shopping sites, All Web Browsers, etc.).
Last month, I spent 3 DAYS contacting every geo-location service worldwide (and also my ISP), desperately trying to get my location correct.
All roads lead back to Microsoft related sites incorrectly reporting my location.
I've contacted every Microsoft support link I can find (200-300 times over 8-10 years). MSN, Bing, Microsoft, Start, Bing Maps, Edge, Outlook.... BEGGING them to PLEASE CORRECT MY DEFAULT LOCATION!!!!
Enough is enough!!!
I'm ready to cancel/delete ALL my Bing, MSN, Microsoft, Start, Office, Windows, Internet Explorer, Edge, Bing Maps, Hotmail, Live & Outlook accounts.
I'M IN WASHINGTON STATE!!!! (Have been for 58 years!!!!!)
MICROSOFT - WHY WON'T YOU FIX THIS??
[Original Title: LOCATION]

Thank you for your response, Reza.
No, I'm not using a proxy or VPN.
I do not have this problem with non-Microsoft sites.
I went to Bing and did "Where am I".
It showed my (exact home address) correct location (Washington State).
I then went to MSN Weather.
I clicked "Detect my location".
It put me in Dallas, Texas. *sigh*
My MSN homepage location changes CONSTANTLY whether I'm signed in or not.
I click "keep me signed in" but most of the time, it doesn't stay signed in.
I'll sign in, then visit an MSN article, return to Homepage and it shows me as not signed in (and location will be changed/wrong).
It's done this for years.
Google Chrome, Bing, Edge, Start... Doesn't matter what browser, computer, phone or tablet I use.
80% of the time my Homepage & Weather puts me in Dallas, Texas. If not Dallas then Chicago, Illinois (never been there).
Got a new one last night: New York
My MSN Privacy Dashboard always shows correct location.
After that, I can immediately go to MSN Homepage and location will be wrong.
The fact that I've tried to resolve this problem for almost a DECADE is beyond frustrating!!!
This should not be such a complicated issue for MSN (Microsoft) to fix!!!
Why does MSN (Microsoft) REFUSE to make my default location in Washington State???
Are you using any VPN or Proxy?
Try open the Bing and search for Where am i? and it should show a location and there is an option to change location and try change it and see if the problem persist?
Are you facing this issue with other websites (non-Microsoft)?
