Microsoft Edge Password Deletion

I am trying to secure and update all my passwords. As part of the process, I tried deleting 250 redundant passwords from over 500 saved passwords.

I had successfully deleted 250 redundant passwords, then I noticed they all returned about 30 minutes later. This time, one later I deleted them all 250 again.

This time I clicked on reset sync Now. Within a short time, the 250 deleted passwords all returned to my password list.

I have a second computer and a laptop that I sync all my Microsoft Edge settings too. Do I need to delete the passwords manually on all three computers or is there another way I can just delete them once without them all coming back.

Hi Darell,

I am Sumit here to assist you with this question.

The problem in the server is caused by your device is logged in on multiple devices with passwords saved.

You need to:

  1. Sign out of all the devices except the primary computer which has 250 deleted passwords currently synced.
  2. Delete all the local passwords/Replace them with new ones.
  3. Perform a Reset sync. This should update the passwords from the server.
  4. Sign in again.
