Do Not Clear does not work

Edge >Settings >Privacy and services >Clear browsing data

I add a site to the "Do not clear" space - but the site's cookie is still deleted when exiting the browser.

Is some special syntax needed? The dialog box shows "[*.] example.com" - I don't know what those extra characters represent. I type in "mysite.com" but the cookie is not retained.

Hi Blitz#r, I am Paulo. I'm an Independent Advisor and an individual like you inclined to help.

Have you enabled all in Clear browsing data on close? If so, go to this path then disable Site permissions. This will save the permissions given to a site like saving cookies, etc. After that, re-add your sites in the Allow list.

    edge://settings/clearBrowsingDataOnClose

    I hope this helps

It's works, but it doesn't make any sense.

And how to activate deleting site permissions on exit then?

I think, it is a bug. I reported twice about this issue last summer with Edge Feedback feature.

But there was no answer, and for 4 Jan 2021 it is still an issue.
