Have been having problems with display size changing each time I try to open a website.  I now note that a new item, System32,  is now listed in Quick Access.  What is it and should it be there?  Can it be causing the over or undersize displays on my pc?

Hi klaro, My name is Jeremy, a Windows Independent Adviser. I'll be happy to help you out today. Let’s see what I can do.

I believe this is just a shortcut for some folder or apps that you wanted to see right away, and I don't think this is the reason for the undersize screen of your display

You can unpin the system32 folder by right-clicking it and select 'unpin..'

Let's do try first to update your graphics driver

    1. Open the Device Manager (right click on Start-Icon in the left corner)
    2. Then click Display Adapters and click your display card.
    3. Click on "Search for a driver on the computer" (second entry)
    4. Click "Select driver from list"
    5. Pick the newest one you have
    6. Restart your computer and see if the problem is fixed

If that didn't work, refer to the link below for more troubleshooting for a problem with always changing screen resolution

Let me know how it goes

    Kind regards,

    Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,  I had already checked the graphics driver with the message rec'd: this is the latest driver available.

When I opened the the windows report link you provided(it only half opened) it appears not to be a legitimate windows product and asks me to agree to location,

etc., which I'd rather not do.

I'm afraid something is really wrong with my pc because, in disgust, I tried to install Firefox as default browser but even that could not be completed.  The oversize screen still appears, cannot even see the resize arrows an any edge.  This happened once before after a Windows update but I forgot how it was fixed.

Have checked and rechecked all size settings but they are the same as always.

Please continue with suggestions if you think of a possible(easy) fix.  Thanks
