Microsoft Password Manager "Scan failed. Please try again later"

Hi,

Yesterday I tried to do a manual scan if I had any leaked passwords but, it kept saying, "Scan failed. Please try again later". Although when I exit the tab and go back to the page, it says, "Scan less than an hour ago". But today it doesn't say that. Instead, it says, "Last scan was 20 hours ago". I am currently using a Mac running on macOS Big Sur and, Microsoft Edge is up to date.

Good day TimLi6! I am glad to be able to provide assistance to you today. I understand that you are having an issue with regards to MS Edge specifically when you are doing a scan for the MS Password Manager. Kindly check and the try the methods/steps below and see how it goes.

Method 1:

  • Launch MS Edge
  • Click on the 3 dots
  • Click on Settings
  • Click on Reset settings from the left side
  • Click on Restore settings to their default values and then click on Reset
  • After doing the above check and try it again

Method 2:

  • If you are on version 94.0.992.31, try to downgrade it to version 93 and see if it will be the same
  • Head over to the link below and try to download the installer file

  • Check if you will be able to install it and see how it goes

    I have the same issue, not sure what is actually wrong, it seems the password mointer servers are broken.
