Internet Explorer mode doesnt work

Hello,

I have Windows 11 and I am trying to access a Microsoft Silverlight website.

I used the internet explorer mode which seemed to work on an initial test but when I went back to try again a few days later it had stopped. (the page refuses to load).

Has it broken or has something changed where there's some other setting or dependency that is required?

    Please repair system files by

    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

    command from Windows Terminal (admin) environment.

    Try to turn off Internet Explore mode, reboot the PC and turn it on again.

    Also - I just had a look in optional features and there is no internet explorer option.

    There is "internet explorer mode" - which is installed.

    IE mode requires Internet Explorer to be installed. Please check if you have Internet Explore mode installed in Apps -> Optional features.
