WebApps in same VNet unable to talk each other

Hi all,

I have 2 linux webapp for container under same VNet.

From inside the webapps, I can see their VNet IPs are:

Webapp 1:

Webapp 2:

But I couldn't ping/telnet from one webapp to other webapp (either stuck or destination not reachable).
There's NSG applied, but the VNet source/destination already listed in inbound/outbound rules and are allowed.

How to fix the webapps? How to configure the webapps so they can talk with each other?

Hi @Ricky Lie ,

Do you run into the same issues when you using tools such as tcpping or nameresolver?

You can still use tcpping on Linux hosted App Service.

Hi @Ryan Hill I installed the tcpping on one webapp and tried to tcpping other webapp, but it's getting same result as ping:

seq 0: no response (timeout)
seq 1: no response (timeout)
seq 2: no response (timeout)
seq 3: no response (timeout)
seq 4: no response (timeout)

@Ricky Lie can you walk me through the steps you did to create your VNET, including subnet and associated your web apps?
