Troubleshooting website display or functionality issues in Edge on Windows 10
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Hello, I am running an up to date 64 bit Edge browser on a Lenovo laptop, Chromium is mentioned on my browser description (sorry not too computer literate).
When I go to log into a specific website, I get redirected to https://login.microsoftonline.com/ asking for a login.
The redirect does not happen with any other website, it's isolated.
I have input the website as an "allowed" website so as not to be blocked, but it still keeps happening.
Any suggestions on how to stop the redirect?

Good Day KevinWaltonucf,
My name is Carlo, I'm an Independent Advisor and community member like you.
I am also using Windows 10 pc. Let us work together to sort this out.
Does it happen to all the browser or just in Edge? Can you please try to check with other browser if it does the same for us to isolate if the issue is with your internet connection or the Edge browser itself.
If it only happens in Edge please proceed with the steps below.
Reset the Edge
-Open Edge and click the 3 dots at the upper right side of your screen.
-Go to Settings
-Look for Reset Settings
-Click Restore settings to their default values.
(This will reset your startup page, new tab page, search engine, and pinned tabs. It will also disable all extensions and clear temporary data like cookies. Your favorites, history and saved passwords will not be cleared.)
Once done restart your computer and check.
If issue persists, re-install the Edge browser using this link below.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/edge/business/d...
Download the version 91.0.864.67
Once installed, restart your computer and check.
I hope the information above helps. Please let me know how it goes.
Have a wonderful day ahead and stay safe.
Sincerely,
Carlo T.
Good Day KevinWaltonucf,
I appreciate your time getting back to this thread, please try to scan your computer using the free version of Malwarebytes scanner to check if there are malwares or adware running in your computer.
Here's the link to download.
https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download/thank...
Once downloaded open the app and perform a scan.
Check if there are malwares detected, once the scan is done restart your computer using cleanboot.

After restart try to access the website and check if issue persists.

Thanks for responding Carlo. The same issue happens with Google Chrome as well.
Do you suggest I do the Edge reset or are there different steps I need to take since it happens with Chrome as well?
Again thanks.
