Highlight text

Question

I work in construction and use edge to review plans and submittals. I notice that since the edge update I no longer have the feature to highlight. I only have the ability to right. The highlight feature was so important for me to do my job is there a way to get it back.

I understand your query related to highlighting text on a PDF file using new Microsoft Edge browser.

We will certainly assist you with that.

In order to highlight the text kindly follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Double-click on the text to select it.
2. Right click on the selected text and click on Highlight
3. Choose the color you want to use for highlighting

In addition, to remove highlight from the highlighted text, simply right click on the highlighted text, click on Highlight and select None. Below is a screenshot for reference:

Just install XODO app. It's free and way better user experiences compare to new Chromium version. 

Other suggestion for Chromium version, if you still stick with it. Just select the text you want to highlight => right click => Higlight function will appear

Thank you for explaining the right click option to enable the highlight option. Being on a Surface Pro, I have been using the Surface Pen whenever I read through all my PDFs to highlight as well as make notes. Now this right click to highlight function has disabled what used to be so much more user friendly. It's the user experience of pulling up PDFs, reading, highlighting, writing in notes, etc. that I miss. Please consider updating Edge again in putting that back in where users can highlight with the Surface Pen. Thanks.

Thank you ... I prefer to stick with MS edge but looks like i have to jump shipped. I hate when they cant just leave things alone that work.
