Launching Microsoft Edge on Windows 10
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Before last week update I had configure Edge to always open with Bing even when the application was forced to close via Shutdown, Sign Out, and or power outage. This was good feature given all the ransom ware site. I could just shutdown to get ride of the site. How do I setup the updated MS Edge to always open a new session with Bing and not with the last URL I was visiting?

Hi Charles_86
to set edge to open with the new tab page (with bing search box)
click the ellipsis (...) and select settings
select on start-up from the left panel and select "open a new tab"
if you would prefer a different URL, select "open a specific page or pages" and enter your preferred URL.
you may also want to clear some browsing data on shutdown, especially if you have had a rogue site problem
in edge settings, select privacy, search and services from the left panel
under clear browsing data click "choose what to clear each time you close the browser, select browsing history, cached images and files and any other you wish to clear
take care not to select passwords or autofill form data.
if you force edge to close the data may not be cleared, if need be, after a forced shutdown open edge again and close it normally then open again for use.
