I left my computer alone for a couple of hours and when I returned there was a new tab up with a search in for tea production in sri lanka. I did not search this nor do I use edge. Next to the tab was a tab dedicated to explaining the update. Was this random search due to the update?

Good Day JadenButler,
My name is Carlo, I am also using Windows 10 pc and community member like you. Let us work together to sort this out.
It can be accidentally open, you can proceed with these steps and observe the Edge.
Reset the Edge
-Open Edge and click the 3 dots at the upper right side of your screen.
-Go to Settings
-Look for Reset Settings
-Click Restore settings to their default values.
(This will reset your startup page, new tab page, search engine, and pinned tabs. It will also disable all extensions and clear temporary data like cookies. Your favorites, history and saved passwords will not be cleared.)
Once done restart your computer and observe if you will experience the same.
I hope the information above helps. Please let me know how it goes.
Have a wonderful day ahead and stay safe.
Sincerely,
Carlo T.
