Kid's Mode bug

Question

There appears to be a bug when on kids mode. If I as the adult want to exit kids mode...I would click on the button to exit kids mode...but the problem is that when I do that, the footer displays with access to the start button and various apps that a child could then access and "bypass" kids mode without fully logging out of kid's mode.

On MS Edge, click on the 3 dots > Help and feedback > Send feedback or press Alt+Shift+I while the browser is open.

Will have to check and test it and as mentioned feel free to send a feedback to the team that is working on MS Edge for them to check and sort this out so that this issue can be corrected.

Good day nbma! I am glad to be able to provide assistance to you today. Kindly check and the try the methods/steps below and see how it goes.

Method 1:

• Launch MS Edge
• Click on the 3 dots
• Click on Settings
• Click on Reset settings from the left side
• Click on Restore settings to their default values and then click on Reset
• After doing the above check and try it again

Method 2:

• You can also try to repair it by Pressing Windows key + I
• Click on Apps
• Under Apps & features look for Microsoft Edge and then click on it on and click on Modify and then click on Repair
• Check and try it again

If you will continue to experience the issue even after trying the above and if you felt that this is with regards to the recent update or changes, you can also send a feedback to the team that is working on Edge and hopefully a fix will be applied soon on the next update and you can provide a feedback from the browser itself by clicking on the 3 dots > Help and feedback > Send feedback.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the suggestion. This did not work. Have you tried it yourself? You can see what I mean. Launch Kids Mode --> then click to exit kids mode and the start menu is accessible and so are any other app buttons.
