Troubleshooting website display or functionality issues in Edge on Windows 11
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Since the last update, Edge cannot display correct fonts on some websites. Edge tries to display a hindi font instead of the english one and that leaves me unable to use the website. I have tried repairing edge and also clearing local app data for edge but have not been able to fix the problem. The same website works fine on chrome or brave. How do I fix this?

You were right. Some font was messed up. I checked the rendered font in devtools for the webpage and it was some local font which was being loaded and it's name was not shown properly. I deleted all of possible fonts from my fonts folder and restored all the original windows fonts from another machine. The issue seems to have been fixed.
I downloaded Edge from the beta, dev and canary channels and the issue still persists in all the versions.
Thanks, Ankit. Sure. I wonder if a Windows feature is causing this.
Please download Edge Beta from https://microsoftedgeinsider.com and install it.
Tell us if the issue persists there too. If it does, we would move over to Windows Troubleshooting.
Hope that helps, and rely on us for any further inquiries. All the best.
As per your suggestion, I tried turning off extensions and also created a new profile. But it did not work. Any other suggestions?
Hi Ankit,
I'm Sumit, here to answer your query at the Microsoft Community.
Do you use any extensions? Try turning off and see if it resolves the problem.
Also please create a new profile for testing purposes in Edge and let me know if the issue persists in that.
All the best.
