Edge/W11; Start up is set to load 2 x Gmail accounts but each time I start I have to logon to each account which defeats the object. This doesn't happen with Chrome.? How can I start up so that 2 x Gmail accounts open automatically in 'Inbox' mode?

Strange, I have tested and it worked opening two tabs with different accounts, maybe there are some Edge settings corrupted. You can try to repair the and reset Edge to default then try to save passwords again.

Step 1: Repair the Edge installation

1-Click on Start then click on Settings

2-Click on apps, search for the Edge, and click on that

3-Click on Modify then click to repair

    Step 2: Reset the Edge

1-Click on the 3 dots and click on settings

    2-Click on 'Reset settings'

3-Then click on 'Restore settings to their default values'

    4-Relaunch the Edge.

5-Open the browser then press Ctrl+Shift+Delete

6-Click on the advanced tab and change the time range to 'All'

7-Check all options then click on the Clear button.

Alert: This procedure will delete all cached files including saved passwords and autofill information.

Step 3: Here is the procedure to save the session for both accounts.

1-Click on the 3 dots and click on settings

2-Click on "Start, home, and new tabs"

3-Change the setting "When Edge starts" and select "Open these pages"

4-Click on Add new page and paste this URL:

    https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#inbox

5-Click on Add new page again and paste this URL:

    https://mail.google.com/mail/u/1/#inbox

    6-Relaunch the Edge

7-On tab 1 insert the email and password and make the login

8-At this moment, both tabs are logged with the same account, click on tab 2 then click on the profile picture and select "Add new account"

9-Make the login with the second account, and relaunch the Edge

10-After that the Edge opens each tab with the correct account

Hi Robinson and thx for trying but, no, that doesn't work.

When I do as you suggest two tabs load but not as open Gmail...I still have to log on. Also, even though I log on into two accounts (using different acct names and passwords) they both revert to just one account (the last one I logon to!!)

Strange, I have now exhausted all I can think of for Edge...this doesn't happen with Chrome??

Hi, I'm Robinson, and I’m happy to help you today.

I know how frustrating this may be for you but I'll do my very best to help you.

Did you try to change the Edge start to use the option to "Open tabs from the previous session"?

1-Click on the 3 dots(...) and select settings

2-Click on "Start, home, and new tabs"

3-Then change the "When Edge starts" to "Open tabs from the previous session"

4-After that the Edge should save the session with the two accounts logged.

Hi MalcM45, I am Paulo and I'd like to help.

Check if Sign-in is set to "Automatically" in edge://settings/passwords

If that is set, did you copy the exact address of the inbox and paste it in Edge Settings > Start, home, and new tabs > Open these pages?

If you log in to two Gmail accounts, these should be the links

    https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#inbox

    https://mail.google.com/mail/u/1/#inbox

If those are already done, I suggest you sign out and delete the cookies then sign in again to your accounts. If you are offered to save the password, save it. Once done, go to the inbox of each account then copy/paste the link in startup pages once again.
