I keep seeing the newest update of Microsoft Edge says the "Annotate and add text to PDF documents in Microsoft Edge".  Like in this link Finish up that holiday shopping with new features from Microsoft Edge and Bing | Windows Experience BlogMicrosoft Edge Browser Features | Microsoft, and RE4IkvA (998×663) (akamaized.net) it mentions the ability to do this and the picture of how to do I don't have the ability at all. I tried different PDFs I have any nothing shows me the ability to add comments. Can someone please help me? I've included a print screen of after I highlight (but this is how it is for any type of PDF) and if needed can attach the print screen of prior.

Also, I'm running the latest version of Microsoft Edge which is Version 87.0.664.41 (Official build) (64-bit)

I could really use this and the ability to be able to add text to the PDFs

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

We understand the concern as you are unable to Add notes or Annotate to PDF file in edge that you are editing.

The option you are looking for is currently under development and you will see this in the later updates.

This option is currently available in the Dev Build of Edge and if you are interested in the Insider Channel, you can certainly give this a try. This Dev version of Edge can be used side by side with the normal version of Edge. Please refer this webpage to install Dev Channel: Microsoft Edge Insider Channels

However, we commend and appreciate you for recognizing this in Edge Chromium. You can certainly help us improve the features by sharing your feedback. You can open Microsoft Edge. Click on the Settings & More Ellipsis (…) on the right hand corner and then, select Help & Feedback and select Send Feedback. This is one way where our design team will be able to receive feedback, suggestions and ideas from our customers.

    Regards,

    Dear Aditya Roy,

I am checking Microsoft edge canary and I can't see any tools for inserting text on pdf files.

Another suggestion is to put a button for page reverse viewing (from end to 1st page) which I have been seeing it just in foxit-reader.

I appreciate your work really, edge is a great step forward

    Regards

How do you add text to a pdf document in Edge. The only option is the draw option and this option is not appropriate for adding text. Thank you in advance for your response.
