Page not responding

Since Edge was upgraded several days ago I have had problems with 2 websites, Netflix and Hulu. I can access the website but I can't navigate anywhere. My mouse doesn't seem to work. Then I get a dialogue box that "page is not responding". This happens every time and only these 2 websites. Also I can no longer find the "open with IE" option in Edge settings.

I'm having the same "these pages aren't responding" problems.  At every website that I go to.  I did the disk and system cleanup and the pages are still not responding (Wait/Exit page).   I tried your directions to clearout the temp files and it deleted 13 items.  Not sure this will do the trick.

Hi RickDelia, My name is Jeremy, a Windows Independent Adviser. I'll be happy to help you out today. Let’s see what I can do.

I'm really sorry for the bad experience using Edge, however, please try to reset it to default settings and see if the problem persists

Open your Microsoft Edge, click the 3 dots on the upper left corner

Select "Settings" > "Reset Settings" > "Restore Settings to their default values"

And try again if you're still having problems with the 2 sites

take note that your Edge will be reset and if you have favorites, make sure to make a backup and import it after. Please refer to the link on how you can perform it

If it still didn't work, please try to clear your temp folder

    • Press on Windows key + R then type " %temp% "
    • It will open your temp folder, then click select any folder and press Ctrl + A
    • Then Press on Shift + Delete to permanently delete all your temporary files

Let me know how it goes

    Kind regards,

    Jeremy
