Hi,

I want to disable the blur of the Windows background screen but when I go to Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\Logon - Show clear logon background. - This option is not showing or available to me. I am running Windows Server 2019 Standard. I have fairly new Group Policy Templates too. Our workstations are Windows 10 2004. I looked online, and I see how other people have 22 items in this location of group policy, and I only have 21. How do I get it, or is this a bug?

    Hi,

I found the same thing on my 2019 server and 2012 server, there are not such a Show clear logon background setting.
It seems there are difference for the logon admx file on the server and the clients.
When i copied the logon admx and adml file from the clients and replaced the ones on the servers, the setting displayed on the server .
In my environment , the admx central store is used.

If the central store is not used in your environment, the admx file is just under c:\windows\PolicyDefinitions

    Best Regards,

Thanks. I am aware of the registry option but since I will be implementing this on hundreds of computers, I'd rather implement through Group Policy for proper management, and if I have to revert back also. I would like to know why that option is missing on mine, and how to get it. I am running Windows Server 2019.

Thank you. That worked. I copied and pasted logon.admx and .adml to my central store and replaced the existing files It showed up after that.
