Managing tabs, address bar, and search settings in Edge on Windows 10
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Each time I disable this feature (new tab tips) it shows up ON again. How can I permanently disable it?

Hello DrGaryG, welcome to the Microsoft community my name is Luiz Cruz, I am a Windows 10 expert user and would be happy to help you;
I understand that you want to disable "New Tab Tips" on the Edge;
Open Edge and click on the three points in the upper right corner of the screen and access Settings;
Click New Tab Page on the left of the screen;
Under Customize the new tab page layout and content, click Customize;
The gear icon will be displayed on the Edge home page, click on it;
Click Advanced and uncheck "Tips for new tab";
Now the option will be disabled, restart the browser for the changes to take effect;
I hope I helped, see you soon!
Nope...was reseat to ON when I restarted the edge browaser. That's what happens each time I disable the Tips. It always reset to ON.
Nope...didnt slove the issue.
Everything is up to date. Still that option resets to ON. I have to manually delete unwanted web sites
Dear DrGaryG,in this case I recommend trying to repair the application:
Press Windows key + I and access settings;
Click on Applications;
Select Edge from the list and click Modify;
A new screen will appear, click Repair;
After repair, restart your computer;
Now try disabling the "Tips for new tab" option again and check if it is enabled again;
I hope I helped, see you soon!
