Screen has stretched sideways

My computer has just updated and the screen has stretched sideways. Items which should be circles are now sideways ovals, and pictures which were square are now landscape rectangles. Text is also elongated sideways as are all icons and everything else I try. I am using Windows 10.

Any idea on how to restore things to the correct shape?
