Whenever I try to download Microsoft Edge on my Windows 7 (32bit) laptop it always shows an error. I am fed up with that error please help me and response back. It starts and then shows the below error. I have allowed it in my firewall settings but it still doesn't work

Error - "Couldn't connect to the internet. If you use a firewall please allowlist MicrosoftEdgeUpdate.exe."

Thanks in Advance

Good day ArnavM0303! I am Independent Advisor Paul R. and also a Microsoft/Windows user like you and I am glad to be able to provide assistance to you today. I understand that you are having an issue with regards to downloading MS Edge that you will install it for your PC that is running on Windows 7. Kindly check and try the steps below and see how it goes.

  • Try allow first msedge.api.cdp.microsoft.com on the firewall and try to download it again
  • In the event that it will still not download, head over to the link below and once you are in the page, select the channel/version (88), select the build (88.0.705.74) and then select the platform (Windows 32-bit) and check if the download will go through

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/edge/business/d...

  • Once the download is complete, run the installation and MS Edge will now be installed on your PC

Regards,

Paul R.
