Microsoft Edge Cookies Problem

Hello. I'm Lelan, I rely Google Services to support my schoolwork. I've so far found it... Well... Easy enough to get most of my work done with Google (Though the occasional error is quite annoying.). But I've encountered a problem that I can't really get past with ease. I commonly use Google Docs to write notes and answer questions from Google Classrooms, and receive emails from Gmail etc. Whilst I was completing some schoolwork, a message suddenly popped up saying that I needed to sign back into Google in order to continue. Now normally when I go ahead, it would just ask for my password, seen as though I'm already signed in to my email address. This time, it has asked for my email. Strange, but I thought nothing of it.

I proceeded to type my school gmail address and a error message (I don't really know if it is an error message or something else), saying that my browser has cookies disabled and telling me to turn them on.

(I'm on Microsoft Edge if you need to know) I clicked the three dots, went to settings, advanced settings, down to privacy and services to find... The cookies were allowed ('Don't Block Cookies'), and including 3rd party cookies. After I tried to sign in two more times (Both without luck) I twiddled around with the setting (Switched the cookie options off and then back on again individually.) and tried again... Same thing happened again. Why does Google think I have them off? Do I actually have them on?

Thanks for reading.

Hi Lelan, I am Paulo. I'm an Independent Advisor and an individual like you inclined to help.

There seems to be a problem with the cookies stored in the browser. Have you tried resetting the site data? If not, try to backup first your Favorites by syncing your account. After the sync is completed, press CTRL + Shift + Del to open the Clear browsing data window. At the bottom, click on "turn off sync" then choose "Clear now". By turning off the sync, the data will only be deleted on the device. Login again on your accounts then check if the issue will still persist.

    I hope this helps
