You mentioned about right click on Microsoft Edge and run as administrator, so have you tried to just click on it and let it opens?

Open start and search for cmd or Command prompt and right click and run it as administrator and then type the following command:

    sfc /scannow

Press enter and let it runs.

Hi Robert, thanks for your reply

I tried clicking to open as normal - nothing happens

I tried right clicking - run as administrator - nothing happens

I carried out the sfc /scannow, after this completed still it will not open

any more help would be appreciated

    thanks

    Paul

I have the same issue and this has not fixed the problem.

It found no issues with the system files

I did install the Notes and Office extensions.

When I click on edge as administrator, I get the dialog asking if I want to make changes. I click yes, and nothing happens.  No error message appears.

Windows 10  is automatically updated on this machine.

If you could direct me to instructions that explain how to uninstall Edge, a reinstallation might work.

I will, of course, try anything else you recommend.

    Thanks ...

    Robert

Have you installed any extensions on Microsoft Edge?

What happens when you click on it, does it shows any error message?

Have you tried installing all updates for Windows?
