Disabling settings from opening msedge

Hi All,

I am an IT administrator for a company of 30 people,

we are using windows 10 pro (on-premise AD),

and we have policies on which browsers are to be used.

In addition to that, every computer has a daemon.

It auto-detects when an application is trying to open msedge.exe,

closes the msedge.exe and the parent process,

and logs it in our syslog server.

There are instances where

1.) sihost.exe opens msedge.exe (periodically)

2.) Opening the "Settings" causes sihost.exe to open msedge.exe

which causes my daemon to close sihost.exe, thus causing the desktop (explorer.exe) to crash and restart.

How do I completely stop msedge.exe from auto-running?

Thanks,

Marc
