Primary password

Question

I never needed a primary password. now it is asking me for it? Where can I find it?

I am Jaspreet Singh.

Where is it being requested? If this is on login screen for windows itself and you use your microsoft account with windows then it is your Microsoft account password.

If you use a local account then it is the password you set when you created the user account during your windows install.

If the password is being requested somewhere else please mention the location.

Same Problem, never wanted or needed a primary password.

It requests primary password every time I try to login to an account.

I don't know the primary password.

I can't change or remove the Primary password WITHOUT KNOWING THE PASSWORD>

Primary password is to allow any edge passwords from being accessed/ used. This just happened to me on TWO computers with local accounts only (not sync’d) after an update. I never set a password, it enabled it automatically and isn’t any of my pwds. MS must have a default pwd or something??? This is really dumb. Locked outta everything in edge.

PS i tried previous post but all my passwords, favorites, bookmarks, etc are now deleted. Thanks Microsoft!

And others PLEASE don’t follow that last post!!! It doesn’t work!!!!!

Do you have any 3rd party antivirus/security software on your computer?

primary password is up on everthing i use passwords for.I have forgotten my Primary Password Help
