Troubleshooting browser crashes or performance issues on Windows 10
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Whenever I try importing the bookmarks from chrome to edge, it just keeps crashing and not responding. Is it because the bookmarks are too much?

All of a sudden Microsoft Edge just shuts down for no reason. I really liked Edge but I fixed this by switching to Firefox. Can't believe they don't let you repair or uninstall Edge.
Hi,
I'm Pedro A, Independent Advisor
What version of windows are you using?
Click Settings > Applications > Apps and Features
Scroll down and find Microsoft Edge.
Click on Microsoft Edge and select Modify.
A user account control notification will pop up asking you to allow permission to make changes to your device.
Select Yes > Repair
Allow the installer to repair the app and then restart Microsoft Edge
If you have already tried this solution, please let me know
Delete the entire contents of "C:\Users<userid>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data". Then restart Edge. It should load normally.
Hi,
I tried to Repair, but no success. Edge crashes in the very second I open it. And Windows doesn't allow me removing Edge completely.
What could I do?
Thanks.
Regards,
David
I have had the same problem for more than one year with no fix and no solution from Microsoft. Several people offered suggestions, but nothing worked. I hope Microsoft will soon take this problem seriously and fix it. Good luck
