Android - Clear Browsing Data Upon Exit - Not Working Properly

I am using Android App Version Edge 46.01.4.5140 and my browsing data is not cleared upon the exit of the Edge browser.

Under Settings - Privacy and Security - Clear browsing data, the 'clear browsing data upon exit' is toggled to On with browsing history, cookies and site data, and caches images and files checked.

I click on the ellipse '...' then click on 'Exit browser' to close the browser. When I go back to the 'clear browsing data' setting, I can see my data still present and not cleared.

Any advice? Thanks

    Try This -

    1. Open Microsoft Edge on your mobile device and click on the Ellipses (should be at the bottom center)
    2. Select Settings
    3. Select Browsing Options
    4. UnSelect Continue Browsing
    5. Select Start Fresh
