Internet Explorer mode issue

Hello Microsoft Community,

Currently I encounter a weird problem. I'm not able to enable IE mode option. The options in SETTINGS/DEFAULT BROWSER are there but they are gray(disabled). I think it might be some issues in older version(85.0.564.41) but after I update to newest version the options just disappeared.

What might be the cause of this problem? WinOS version?

btw. I also check edge://compat/iediagnostic the result looks fine.

Thanks for you time!

Yes, but there is quite a bit more to it. From About IE mode | Microsoft Docs:

Only those sites that you specifically configure (via policy) will use IE mode, all other sites will be rendered as modern web sites. For a site to use IE mode, you need to l ist the site in the Enterprise Mode Site List XML defined in one of these policies:

Microsoft Edge 78 or later, "Configure the Enterprise Mode Site List"...

Are you saying that sites you've added to the site list still don't open in IE?

Configuring IE integration has been moved from the browser UI to Group Policy. You'll find detailed instructions here: Configure IE mode Policies | Microsoft Docs

Nope. I've already done that. You can see the picture > Internet Explorer integration policy is Internet Explorer mode.

    Hey,

I'm R7anubis, just another user (and an insier). I'll be glad to help

I think those options aren't available for the stable Edge yet.

Search "Edge chromium insider download" and go to the page, download beta, or dev.

I think those options won't be grayed out on those versions.

    Hope this helps

    Your friendly neighborhood Insider
