Quick links not getting added

Suddenly, the quick links feature in my Edge isnt working normally.

When I go to add a new quick link, I type in the name and web address but on clicking on OK option after filling the required credentials, the form closes and nothing has been added in my quick link section.
I've rechecked the addresses and everything is in place. Kindly HELP..

Good day DevDhawan10! I am Independent Advisor Paul R. and I am glad to be able to provide assistance to you today. I understand that you are having an issue with regards to MS Edge specifically on the quick links function/feature. Kindly check and the try the methods/steps below and see how it goes.

Method 1:

  • Launch MS Edge
  • Click on the 3 dots
  • Click on Settings
  • Click on Reset settings from the left side
  • Click on Restore settings to their default values and then click on Reset
  • After doing the above check and try it again

Method 2:

  • You can also try to repair it by Pressing Windows key + I
  • Click on Apps
  • Under Apps & features look for Microsoft Edge and then click on it on and click on Modify and then click on Repair
  • Check and try it again

Method 3:

  • Press Windows key + I
  • Click on Apps
  • Under Apps & features look for Microsoft Edge and then click on it and then click Uninstall and go through the uninstall process
  • Head over to the link below and try to download the installer file (select the channel which is 91 and check the build of either 864.71 or 864.70)

  • Check if you will be able to install it to see if it will work afterwards

If you will continue to experience the issue even after trying the above and if you felt that this is with regards to the recent update, you can also send a feedback to the team that is working on Edge and hopefully a fix will be applied soon on the next update and you can provide a feedback from the browser itself by clicking on the 3 dots > Help and feedback > Send feedback.
