How to disable microsoft edge automatic update?

It's a HUGE DEAL BREAKER and happening somewhat frequent. Edge installer is hogging up main system resource at random times, especially when i'm doing heavier task like gaming, etc making everything else stutter, unresponsive, and not responding until it's done doing it's thing. I can't find the setting inside the browser to change this behaviour, please help.

I tried attaching image here, but it keeps failing. So, here's external screenshot of my task manager: 1ptxgwG.png (700×331) (imgur.com) EDIT: 30% disk usage is 90% ish here on drive C: because i have 3 physical drives total.

    Hello Arvito Ramadhanu

    Thanks for your reply.

You can try to back up this folder and then delete it, it seems that will break the update feature.

    *C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\EdgeUpdate*

    Hello, Tommy

Apparently today I just encountered another update despite turning all the previously mentioned services off.

My game gets unresponsive again and when I checked task manager, Microsoft Edge Installer can be seen running in the background:

Here're the services that i already disabled:

All processes of Microsoft edge are not elevated:

    Hello Arvito Ramadhanu

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

Regarding to your information I assume that you want to stop the Edge auto-update.

If you don't always open the Edge when you play the game you can turn off this feature in this website: edge://settings/system.

This feature will allow Edge to update although it's turned off.

If you open the Edge when playing the game you can turn off these three services.

If there is anything not clear, please do not hesitate to let me know. Best Regards,

    Hello, Tommy.

Regarding the setting on edge://settings/system i had already turned it off and edge wasn't opened, but the updater was still executing.

However, i'll try turning off those 3 services you just mentioned. Thank you.

    Hello Arvito Ramadhanu

    Thanks for your reply.

Turn off the service and don't give any permission to Edge. If you want an update you can turn on the service and then turn off these services again.
