Improving performance and responsiveness of Edge on Windows 11

Edge has an annoying problem. When I type anything in the address bar, or in the comment box of any forum, or email addresses in address box, etc, during typing, the letters are erased one by one and then reappear. This happens back and forth almost all the time and it makes typing very difficult. Especially in long words. This problem also occurs in Chrome and Brave (Chromium based browsers), while not in Firefox, SeaMonkey and Pale Moon (non-chromium based browsers). So it strongly seems that the problem is with the Chromium engine, or Win11/Chromium incompatibility, or possibly a bug in a Windows update. Is MS aware of this problem?

You have been very thorough, but your problem is unusual. I haven't seen any other complaint about this sort of behaviour. This makes me think that third-party software may be involved.
What other software is running on the machine when this happens?
If ever there is something about Edge that you don't like or that isn't working as you'd expect it to, or if you have a suggestion for improving it, please use the feedback option within the browser to record it. It's unlikely that anyone from the Edge team will see posts in this forum, so complaints here will only be seen by other users and not by anyone in a position to do something about them.
To submit feedback, click the ⋯ icon labelled Settings and more at the right-hand end of the toolbar, then select Help and feedback > Send feedback. Another way is simply to press Alt-Shift-i to open the Send feedback dialogue. Give your feedback a clear title in the first line to make it easier for the product team to identify and classify it, and give as many details as you can. You can include a screenshot to illustrate your text, and you can elect to include diagnostic data so the engineers can work out what was going on in the background when something went wrong. If you give an email address, you'll receive an acknowledgement and possibly some follow-up questions.
Thank you.

You say you've disabled spelling checking, yet you still see misspelt words highlighted. This would suggest that you haven't managed to eliminate all the features that affect typing. Please check all the Windows settings at Time & language > Typing, including Typing insights. These don't normally interfere noticeably, but there may be situations where they do.
Have you submitted feedback? It could be that the Edge engineers have helpful ideas.

- security or privacy programs/suites (anti-virus, anti-spyware, web safety, privacy guards etc.);
- aids to accessibility (a screen reader, for example).
Sorry for not giving all the details. Of course, I tested Edge immediately after installing the operating system, when no other programs and drivers were installed on the PC, to rule out any potential problem.
And yes, I did try as much as possible to snoop around the system to find the source of the problem. Based on this, the problem would seem to be the Chromium engine or possibly some bug or compatibility issue. If the issue is happening in the Chromium browser, but not in a non-Chromium browser, that gives some direction.
I found a few posts about that problem or similar ones. For example on Reddit and here on MS support.
