Features missing from Edge

I have two different PCs using the same profile in Edge, both running the same up to date version of Edge.

On one of the PCs I have all the latest features available (history/downloads buttons, accelerated start up, kids mode, vertical tabs, etc.)

On the other PC apart from vertical tabs none of the other features are present.

If I log out from Edge, completely delete my profile folder and restart the PC and open Edge without logging in (guest mode) the missing features are available. But as soon as I log in to my account (the same one that I use on the other PC where everything works) all the new features disappear!

I have tried the Repair and Reset options, but I still end up with the same situation, with the features missing. Am I correct in thinking that Edge cannot be uninstalled?

    I had the same problem a few months back where my laptop edge browser stops syncing. Reinstalling the edge did the trick.

    Ha ha, no. What fixed it was a reinstall of Edge.

    This is not the expected behavior?

    Try disable all Extensions and see if the problem persist?
