Other issues or features related to Microsoft Edge on Windows 11
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
My mouse pointer is not aligned with the selected entity in Edge.
This is on a brand new Dell XPS 13 Plus 9320 running Windows 11 Home.
I tried with two different mice; both connected via Bluetooth.
First a Mojo MJ-209.
Next a Microsoft Mobile Mouse 3600 Model 1730.
Both had the same result, but both worked without issue on the desktop and in file explorer. For a test, I installed Chrome and neither mouse had this problem there either.
Also notable: The pointer is aligned when selecting the browser tabs across the top and the back/refresh/home buttons (left of the address bar) but not within the address bar itself or for anything on the right side of the address bar and not for anything within the web page.
Unfortunately, I cannot post a screenshot because that does not capture the mouse position.
Any ideas for a fix?

Hello, again Steve -
Here are responses to your questions:
Keep me posted on your progress as I will be here to help until the case is resolved. Then I will stay subscribed in case anything else comes up until the system locks it in 2-3 months.
I'm not ignoring you, but it will be a few days before I can reply if this is helpful or not. This is a brand-new computer, and I will be upgrading the hard drive and OS before I make any further attempt to resolve the issue.
In the meantime, I want to address some of your proposed solutions:
1. Proposed: Sync Edge data across devices. I'm not sure how this would resolve such an issue as mine but suppose I do not want to sync Edge data across devices? Does that mean the problem is here to stay?
2. Proposed: Clear Edge cache. I did this but it did not resolve anything. I didn't really expect it to since this was a brand-new computer and I was just getting it set up so there should have been next to nothing in the cache.
3. Proposed: Reset Edge settings. I will try but they should all be on the defaults now (brand-new computer)
4. Proposed: Reset Edge. Will do if problem persist after above mentioned upgrades.
5. Proposed: Reinstall Edge. Will do if problem persist after above mentioned upgrades.
6. Proposed: Misc other efforts including reinstall Windows. If the problem persists, I will look into these but will not be reinstalling Windows (since that is already in the works).
I will get back in a few days. Hopefully MS will not close this forum too soon as they so often do.
Steve
Hello Steve. I'm Greg, here to help you with this.
If this only happens with Edge then we need to repair Edge.
All possible fixes for Edge are here:
https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/microsofted...
If nothing there works then I'd also try the mouse fixes as something there may fix it:
https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/for...
Go over Windows 11 with this Performance Checklist to make sure the install is set up correctly, optimized for best performance, and to find and fix problems:

Feel free to ask back any questions. Based on the results you post back, I will have other suggestions if necessary.
