We have Guest users on our Microsoft teams. They can send attachments in their messages when they're sending them in channel discussion but they can't send attachments in private chats on ms teams. As an admin, I can't find a way to enable it

    @Ivan Bosnić ,

    Guest has no such capability. Guest can only send attachment files in Teams chat. The following image list the capabilities of guest:

    For more information of guest capability, please refer to this article.

    As michev said, you could vote in the Teams UserVoice. Currently, the feature team is under review and considering all options for this feature. Any update will be shared in this link.

    What I noticed with the Guest (B2B) setup and 1:1 chat conversations.

    • When using MS Teams on the desktop or browser, you are unable to add attachments while in a 1:1 chat with a Guest.
    • When using the MS Teams app on my Android phone, I am able to share attachments while in a 1:1 chat with a Guest.

    This means that the functionality is available but the MS Teams desktop app and browser app is lacking this function.

    Microsoft should be able to fix this easily once they put more resources on this issue. This is 100% an issue, otherwise sharing would also not work while on the mobile app version.

    That's the expected behavior, as attachments sent in 1:1 chats are stored in user's personal ODFB, and guests dont have such provisioned. Microsoft is looking into enabling support for this, so you might as well vote it up here: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/32865823-guests-should-be-able-to-send-files-in-private-cha
