Troubleshooting website display or functionality issues in Edge on Windows 10
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
I just bought a brand new desktop HP (10 days ago), shipped directly from the manufacturer.
Windows 10.
After setting everything up, tried out the browser Microsoft Edge.
Wi-fi worked fine.
Finished setting up a few things on the new computer (screensaver, monitor display, etc.) - then closed out all windows, including all open Edge pages.
Shortly after, the computer went into Sleep mode.
Clicked back on and opened up a new Edge browser. I was connected for about 15 seconds, and then lost Wi-fi connectivity.
Here's the kicker - when Wi-fi was lost on this computer (desktop HP), all other devices in the house were kicked off Wi-fi as well. Cell phones, laptops, even the cable (which runs off of a wireless connection).
After about 4 minutes, all devices came back online, including desktop HP.
Since that day (and every single day for the last 10 days) when I start the HP (or wake it up from Sleep mode) and open up Edge, the exact same thing happens. Online for less than 1 minute, lose Wi-fi connection on HP AND lose Wi-fi on all other devices in the house, then all devices connect again after about 4 minutes.
*Note - after waking up the computer, if I use other features on the HP that require Wi-fi, everything works fine. It's only when Edge is first opened up that the issue occurs.
Also, if I'm working on the computer for a while (Edge being closed) and then open up an Edge browser page, same issue happens.
I was working on a spreadsheet last night for about an hour, needed some info from the web, opened up an Edge page, and lost all Wi-Fi connectivity (as did all the other household devices). Again, after about 4 minutes, everything in the house came back online.
Also, the modem/router is only 6 months old and has never had an issue before now - the issues only started when we got the new computer.
For the last 6 months, we've run multiple laptops (wirelessly), cell phones, wireless cable, and 3 wireless security cameras; all with no issues.
Called a computer repair service, but they couldn't resolve the problem. In fact, the service tech said in 15 years of working in his field, he had never seen this problem.
Anxiously seeking some advice!

Hi,
Can you provide the following information which may help determine any issue(s):
Windows Key + R > type msinfo32 in the "Open" box > OK > File > Save > then save as an .nfo file
Then make the resulting .nfo file available via a public folder on OneDrive or similar site.
Also, can you do the following:
Windows Key + R > type eventvwr in the "Open" box > OK > expand "Custom Views" and then right-click "Administrative Events" > select "Save all events in Custom View As" and save as an .evtx file
Then make the resulting .evtx file available via a public folder on OneDrive or similar site.
