Edge defaulting to search engine AASearchachiever whenever search is requested regardless of subject. If clicked directed to site: trovi and message appears that site is not secure. Please how this can be eliminated. Thanks.

Make sure to backup first your Edge Favorites

Please try the following methods below.
edge://settings/search
Press Enter
Search engine used in the address bar = select your preferred search engine from the list.
Click manage search engines
Find AASearchachiever in the list then click the 3 dots next to it
Click Remove
Open Edge > Click 3 dots > Extensions
Please check if one of your Extensions is forcing your search to use AASearchachiever.
If this doesn't work, You may need to consider performing a Reset of Edge Chromium.
Open Edge then click 3 dots > Settings
Select Reset Settings > Restore settings to their default values
Click Reset
Restart your computer using Clean boot of Windows 10
**Perform a Clean Boot
Determine whether a background program or a software conflict is causing the issue.
Go to the search box > type msconfig
Select System Configuration > go to the Services tab.
Select and put a check mark on "Hide all Microsoft services" > Click Disable all.
Go to Startup tab > Open Task Manager > Disable all the unnecessary services running there. Restart your computer.
