I get nothing but this error code whenever I try to use Microsoft edge. This happened after I restarted my laptop and it updated the day before. When I open a new tab or just search anything, it says "can't open this". I've tried about every solution in previous threads with the same issue, but nothing worked. I've cleared history, restarted, tried repairing it in the "apps and features", and still nothing. I have no idea what to do.

    I have the opposite, only in compatibility mode with Windows 8, I can at least go to the Edge browser settings. In normal mode, it doesn't even open the settings with an error RESULT_CODE_KILLED_BAD_MESSAGE.

    None of the tips helped. There is no way to remove Edge. I deleted all internal folders, reinstalled, nothing helps.

    Managed to fix it. For some reason when my laptop restarted and updated, it turned on compatibility mode for Mircosoft Edge and that was the cause. Had to go to properties and turn it off.
