I've recently gotten a new windows update (im on windows 11) and I noticed on almost all browsers (for ex: brave and edge) the function keys are binded to certain commands

(For ex: f1 is set to "Help center") I wish to toggle/disable this feature because I wanna use my volume keys and my brightness keys.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

The actions associated to the function keys are controlled by the PC manufacturer, not Windows, because the actions associated to those keys vary from PC to PC.

If you press the Fn key + a function key, does that produce the correct action?

If it does, try pressing Fn + Esc to remove the function lock.

If that does not solve this, boot your PC into BIOS and check if there is a setting to toggle between Function keys and Media keys.

If none of those solve this, what is the make (Dell, Lenovo, Asus... etc) of your PC?
