C:\Users\..\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data is taking up around 90GB of space

To whom it may concern,

I am using windows 11 at the moment. I have discovered that the following folder

C:\Users..\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data

is getting larger and larger to the point that it is taking one third of my SSD hard drive space.

I personally don't use edge but opera GX. Can I remove these files without any consequences?

Please advise. Many thanks for your kind assistance.

Regards

Louk

Hi, I'm Sumit, here to answer your query at the Microsoft Community.

Apologies for any inconvenience you are experiencing. I am happy to help you today.

Most of the Storage is taken by Microsoft Edge Snapshots feature. It is a feature that restores Microsoft Edge to an exact version at the point it was saved.

You can delete everything under Snapshots if you don't wish to use that feature.

I hope this information is helpful. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out to us. Good luck!
