Outlook Live Email Print Function

For an email opened from the folder email list, the Print function opens a secondary frame showing the email with 2 options in the ribbon; Print or Cancel. On selecting Print the frame just closes, and does not exhibit the expected behavior, this is a bug. This occurs in 3 different browsers all set to allow "Popups and Redirects" for "https://outlook.live.com". This function recently failed & should be fixed!

The print function once again failed in browsers except Edge, and a repetition of the above procedure didn't help, after a period it began to work again. It aught to work consistently in all browsers, It seems that this function is buggy...

After the above procedure the print function works in all browsers, but with Firefox sometimes it may take more than one try selecting print in the email display to get the print frame popup's print function to work.

FYI: there always was a workaround namely in "More options" for the displayed email select "View>Open in new window" and in the new window the print function worked as expected, but that's a whole bunch of extra steps...

Try changing the Windows default printer to a different one, e.g. Microsoft Print to PDF if it is available. To choose a default printer:

    1. Select Start > Settings.
    2. Go to Devices > Printers & scanners> select a printer > Manage. Then select Set as default.
If you don't see the Set as defaultoption, the Let Windows manage my default printeroption may be selected. You'll need to clear that selection before you can choose a default printer on your own.

Does Print now work in Edge? If so, change the default back to the one you want and test again.
