Re-creating the URL dropdown lists in the address bar in MS Edge browser (like in Internet Explorer)

I used to love Internet Explorer's Address Bar function, which allowed me to use the drop-down list to navigate through different websites.

(If you look at the pictures below, which seem to have been using Windows XP/7 OS, you'll be able to see a 'v' sign located beside '..> Go' icon, towards the right end of the Address Bar. This 'v' used to open and close the drop-down list).

Is it possible to re-create this function within MS Edge and Google Chrome?

I still can't get used to using the favourites button and pinning different websites on the new tab page and I do not like having to do this, as using the drop-down list function used to be more efficient once they had been set up.

In terms of user-friendliness, I think Windows XP and Windows 7 outweigh all the other OS by MS which were released afterwards.

Should there be Windows 12 released in the future... I wish there is a mode which enables users to decide Windows XP/Windows 7 type interface, even if it means sacrificing few functions such as tablet mode.

I no longer enjoy getting forced to get used to something new (for the sake of being new)...
