Hi, I have on my Windows 11 bar shortcuts to my personal Edge profile and my Work one, I noticed that sometimes when I don't have any other apps opened and I want to open specific Edge profile, the wrong one opens. Like, I want to open my work one straight away after powering on my machine, but my personal opens. I'm sure it's not a misclick, checked it several times now. Help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you for your response.

After following the instruction, everything worked fine for a while, then it went back and the problem keeps occurring, just not as frequently as before.

    Hello dara121212.

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

Regarding to your information I assume that you have some issues on the Edge that pin on the TaskBar

In this case, you can start by unpinning all the icons related to Edge. Then, check if there is a shortcut on your desktop named xxx-edge,

which should be the first Edge profile shortcut.

Drag this shortcut to your taskbar. Next, create a copy of the Edge shortcut and add the following code to the end of the target

    --profile-directory=" "

(where XXX is the name of your profile, which you can find at edge://profile-internals/).

Then, drag this new shortcut to the taskbar as well. Check if this works correctly. If it's not correct, you should see two shortcuts at

this address. Edit the target document at the end of the shortcut target.

(need turn on the show hidden item)

    C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar

If there is anything not clear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    Best Regards,
