Hello everybody. I have some pinned tabs like whatsup, gmail, facebook, discord, etc. All the staff that i use to communicate with other people online. So i set up notifications and they work for me beautifully when browser is opened as a window and running. But if I close the window I have no notification at all. But all options connected with background work are turned on in settings. So can anybody tell me have somebody reached described behavior from the browser or it couldn't be set in that way.
Please don't tell me to install all that bunch of messengers and other **** as an standalone app cause now there millions of them. Im that dinosaur from that era when the grass was greener and there was only single im app and everybody used it or nothing))) For me it is better to use browser as a, let me call it, single cross-protocol client instead of bunch of apps. But I need to figure out how to get notifications in background or to buy an additional RAM.
Thanks)

Hi, Acolit24
Welcome to the Microsoft community.
Based on the official Edge documentation, it seems that Edge should be able to receive notifications even after being closed. This feature did work previously, but we have encountered the same issue during our tests. Therefore, it is likely that a recent Edge update caused this problem.

In such cases, we recommend providing feedback via Alt+Shift+I and waiting for the developers to fix the issue.
