Microsoft Edge Profile Switch Themes Bug

Hello,

I have an issue regarding starting up MS Edge. I have two profiles set up, a personal and a work profile. My personal profile has dark mode selected, and my work profile has light mode. When I start up Edge on my personal profile, it is dark mode, and when I switch to work, the work profile window is light mode. BUT, if I start Edge from the work profile, then switch to personal, the theme does not switch to dark and remains in light mode.

Can I have some help with this? I have to either TaskKill the browser or manually change the personal profile back to dark mode to fix it.

    I’ve tested the scenario you described and was able to reproduce the issue where the theme does not switch as expected when moving from a work profile in light mode to a personal profile in dark mode. Unfortunately, at this time, there isn't a known solution or workaround for this specific bug.

    To help improve Edge and address this issue, I highly recommend submitting feedback directly to our development team. You can do this by pressing Alt + Shift + I while in Microsoft Edge. This will open the feedback page where you can describe the issue in detail. Our developers regularly review feedback submissions and may include a fix in a future update based on user reports.

    While we don’t have an immediate fix, rest assured that your feedback is valuable and will be considered in future development efforts. In the meantime, you can continue to manually switch the theme or restart the browser as you’ve been doing.
