Possible Bug with Edge Browser Control on Continuous Form

I'm using the new Edge Browser control to display web images on a continuous subform. The main form has a text box that allows the user to filter the continuous form. Any time the subform changes (requery, filter, etc.) in a way that requires new images to load, it causes the cursor to disappear from the search box. The user is no longer able to type, so I've had to remove the filter-as-you-type functionality from the form.

I've tried setting focus back to the text box. I've tried moving the focus to another control, then back to the search box. The only thing that fixes the issue is removing or hiding the Edge Browser control.

Has anyone else had this issue and found a fix or workaround?

    Hi Kayla,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I'm Hahn and I'm here to help you with your concern.

Browser control interactions within Access forms can sometimes lead to unexpected behavior. In your case, the disappearance of the cursor when the Edge Browser control refreshes could be due to how focus is managed within the form.

If you encounter any issues while using Microsoft Edge or have any suggestions, you can give feedback to the Microsoft Edge team using the "Send Feedback" window:

This is the easiest way, just click "Send Feedback" in the upper right corner of your browser icon (or press Alt+Shift+I), then describe your issue or feature request and attach a screenshot and email address. This allows the Microsoft Edge development team to create tracked issues and resolve them as quickly as possible.

Unfortunately, Microsoft Edge Browser Control is not supported on the Microsoft Answers forum. It is more suitable for publishing on Microsoft Learn (English only), you can click on "Ask a question", there are experts who can provide more professional solutions in that place.

Here is a link: Microsoft Edge - Microsoft Q&A to the forum where you can raise specific scenarios and share your idea to help solve the problem.

I won't be able to help you, but I'll leave that question open in case one of our amazing volunteers has ideas for you.

    Your Sincerely

Hahn - MSFT | Microsoft Community Support Specialist
